The Story behind the Print
In the early 1930’s miners were paid an average of $1.00 per day. This man would head into the darkness to bring the ore up from underground using nothing but his scaling bar, a shovel, and a wheelbarrow. I am sure at the end of the day he is glad just to go back home to his family.
